Delirium

No, it isn't a portrait of my favorite character from Neil Gaiman's "Sandman", but feel free to see her that way if you like! This one's very open to interpretation!

I drew this sketch when I was out of my head with the flu last week. You know that feeling when you're sick, and you don't know whether you feel like you're floating or falling? Well I sat there in a daze thinking "what would this feeling look like"? And I came up with this image: is she being dragged into the vortex by the orb, or being lifted out by the butterflies? Or both? I didn't paint it till I felt better, dizzy Crystal and watercolors don't really mix.
