Hera, the Greek sky goddess who is the heavenly Queen of the Gods. As the wife of Zeus, the long-suffering Hera is the patron goddess of all women, particularly those who are married. Regal and proud, she does not let insults go lightly, and her wrath has been a driving force in numerous myths. her symbols include the diadem crown, the cuckoo (cuckoos are engraved into the pillars of the gazebo in which she sits), the throne, and the peacock.

A beautiful portrayal of Hera. Honestly, I have always pitied Hera and never judged her on her jealousy and wrath. Any wife would be upset if their husband behaved as Zeus did. I love the color of her dress and the emotional look in her eyes. A very nice piece.
