The awe-inspiring Kali, Goddess of Destruction is a principal deity of the Hindu religion. Associated with destruction, death, war, and the love of motherhood, one must accept her fearsome persona in order to receive her gifts. Kali offers fiercely loving maternal protection, divine knowledge, and spiritual transcendence.

Lovely! the dark colors with the blood red really ad to the destructive power of this deity!

Oh this is totally intense! Very very cool.. I've always been intrigued by Kali because she's so often associated with the Thugee cults to the point that most people forget that her violent nature is supposed to originaly be in the defense of women.. she's a protector.. just violent as hell about it lol

Ooh! Sounds like my kind of lady... I have been told I can be quite scary, because I have a strong personality, but rather than offend me it provides me with the greatest of compliment. So, I can strongly relate to the motherhood of Kali as well as her fierceness (is that even a word?)

Instant love for this piece! You are back in great shape. Maybe that block of yours was just your mind and body forcing you to rest and recuperate.

Thank you! I love using blacks/greys combined with red, it always looks so ominous. :D

I'm glad you like her, she really is a complicated Goddess. I never knew that about the Thugee cults, I just read up on it, it's really interesting! Thanks!
