Niel Gaiman's Dream of the Endless: The Sandman, Morpheus, Prince of Stories, Lord of the Dreaming, The Shaper, Oneroi, etc. etc. Done in watercolor with a limited color palette to avoid Bleeding Eye Syndrome with all that's going on here!

This is a gift for my fiance, Bruce. Love you honey! :blowkiss: We're both big fans of The Sandman! "Dream" also happens to be my favorite word, to the extent that I was given a silver bracelet by my mom with the word engraved on it before I ever read the series. :lmao: This is also the mac-daddy, most involved, detailed, mother of all fanart I will ever do. (And if it isn't, I deserve to be committed! :giggle:) It was a labor of love!

I like to think of Dream in his role as the incarnation of all that is unreal- the Prince of Stories! So this is a mixture of dream imagery, random story themes, particular stories, and characters from The Sandman itself, centered around Dream.

-A Vampire hovering over his Victim

-Thessaly!!! (I love her, she looks like Daria, has insane powers, strangles demon birds, tangles with entities older than gods, and does it all in bunny slippers!!!)

Wow, you're a Thessaly fan? I actually hate her more than any other The Sandman character :P And what is really funny is that we're somewhat "related", since she is a Greek witch, and I am Greek too :XD:

and i want a poster of this on my wall. omg, i cant even begin to tell you how much i love this, especially because its hand drawn and doesn't just involve sandman stuff but other stories too....the ones you've chosen make me wanna ask - have you read Fables? (its also a DC-Vertigo Comic)....

This is amazing! You put in the true heart of the Sandman books, and you did it in such an original style! It's a refreshing change from all the pics of Death looking ridiculously hot :P
